I recently purchased an Eat Your Flowers by Loria cake for mail delivery to my home. The cake was $135 and with tax and postage et al, I was charged $180. I was totally disappointed with the product as it arrived in San Francisco with a crumbled side. When I contact the company, they suggested I wait until ready to use the cake and it was defrosted and then ‘correct’ the crumbling. This is not satisfactory as waiting until the day of use to fix the problem does not allow time to have a replacement cake for a special occasion.
I am now in the process of shopping and purchasing from a local bakery/cake store here in San Francisco where I’ll see the finished product.
